Real Estate Marketing Buzz: Selling a Home Isn't What It Used to Be


If you're in real estate, you better be techno-savvy! In the olden days (before the year 2000), having a cell phone and maybe even a beeper (remember those?) was the hot thing for an active realtor.

Fast-forward to today...in this market, you've better got a good handle on how to truly market a property. No longer is it enough to just list in on the RMLS system (although some realtors think it is).

You've got to use all media: video, web, mobile, PR. It's these realtors who use the technology properly who have the best visibility and business potential.

For example, if you just got a listing do you have a list of Marketing TO DOs listed for each property? And if you hand it off to your assistant, is your assistant as savvy in marketing as she/he is in paperwork and details? You must have a detail-oriented assistant; yet these are not usually the most marketing savvy types.

Bottom-line: Get a marketing system for not only yourself, but your properties.
